Video: Wetherbee School’s 9/11 Memorial Community Event

Students from Emily G. Wetherbee School in Lawrence, Massachusetts, used art, writing, video and photography to document their visit to the 9/11 Memorial in New York City, and explored the function and role of memorial and symbolism in different cultures. Their creative projects—including a painting that was auctioned to benefit the 9/11 Memorial—were exhibited at a community event captured in this video.

Wetherbee’s Movement Through Memorial project was funded by a 2012-2013 Sharing the Dream Grant.
